Eat, Play, Win: Kamayan For a Cause Brings 140 Together for Epic Fun, Giving Back, and Big Prizes!
Klark Foundation Inc. just wrapped up another unforgettable charity event: Kamayan For A Cause 2024. This year, we gathered 140 passionate “Kamayaners” for a day of food, fun, and philanthropy, all in support of our mission to give back to communities in need. With live music, incredible prizes, and a one-of-a-kind feast, this event was truly one for the books!
The Kamayan Experience: A Feast to Remember
At the heart of Kamayan For A Cause was a delicious, authentic Kamayan feast featuring a famous family recipe menu. Ever had Ron’s favorite chicken BBQ, Karon’s most talked about lumpia (spring roll), Kay’s fried chicken, Ann’s seafood boil or Mama Es’ everything? As part of the Filipino tradition, guests enjoyed food served on banana leaves and eaten with their hands—a true celebration of culture and community. With every bite, participants knew they were contributing to something bigger: the future of students in the Philippines through our #KLARKBagsGiveBack initiative.
Games and Prizes: Fun for All Ages
This year’s event wasn’t just about the food! We organized exciting games for all age ranges, bringing out the competitive spirit in everyone. From kids’ “Bring Me” and “Pabitin” (Filipino Piñata) to teen Filipino trivia, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
And what’s a charity event without some amazing prizes? Our grand raffle had attendees on the edge of their seats, with lucky winners taking home incredible prizes like an Apple Watch, an iPad, and a luxurious day at SoJo Spa. The raffle was a huge hit, raising significant funds for our cause. Thank you to our sponsors!
First-Ever Sari-Sari Store and Merchandise
A special highlight of the event was our very first Sari-Sari store—a nod to the traditional Filipino community convenience shop. It was stocked with unique items, from handmade crafts to Filipino snacks, giving attendees a taste of the Philippines while supporting our mission.
We also offered exclusive Klark Foundation merchandise, including 10 designs of Kamayan based t-shirts, organic cotton tote bags, free stickers, with free imported nostalgic Sari-Sari store favorites! 100% of the proceeds from the merchandise and the Sari-Sari store went directly toward our next mission: #KLARKBagsGiveBack.

Live Music: Bringing the Filipino Spirit to Life
No Filipino event is complete without live music, and Kamayan For A Cause was no exception! Guests were treated to vibrant, live performances that had everyone singing along. From acoustic ballads to energetic pop hits, the music set the perfect mood, reflecting the spirit of Filipino gatherings—joyful, lively, and filled with connection.
Live music is a cornerstone of Filipino culture, and it added an extra layer of excitement and community to the event. Whether enjoying the feast or playing games, the performances kept the energy high and reminded everyone of the warmth and hospitality Filipinos are known for.
We also opened the stage for an open mic and karaoke, inviting everyone to join in what we like to call our "Filipino Olympic sport." The audience sang their hearts out, sharing the fun and spontaneity that is always at the heart of any Filipino celebration!

What’s Next:
The success of Kamayan For A Cause fuels our next big project: #KLARKBagsGiveBack. In 2025, we’re heading to the Philippines to personally hand-deliver backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need. This initiative is aimed at empowering children in underserved communities by giving them the tools they need for a better education. Every dollar raised from the event will help us make this mission a reality.
